does anybody know of anywhere closer to shoreham and friendlier than the marina that can be surfed at high tide? i don't mind short shorebreaky rides, but everywhere i've found so far is literally closing out onto dry sand.
obviously if you don't want to share your spot then fair enough, but hey, sharing is caring

There is no sand at high tide. Surf hot pipes, nice bit of cement and fence.

thing is i'm rather fond of my teeth and i don't really feel like losing them on a steel fence...
out of interest why does nobody 'deal' with the fences on the hot pipe? either oficially through the port authority or whoever owns the beach, or on the sly with an angle grinder
but in all seriousness there must be somewhere that isn't a straight closeout at high tide?
