Re: Private surf instructors
There are a few people about who can give lessons - but - you do realise that in July in Brighton it is most likely to be as flat as a pancake (equally now I've said that we will probably get 2ft rollers coming in) - seriously though it really REALLY is likely to be flat - that said - if it's flat y...

Stuffed board into harbour wall - trip to the board doctor
This is nothing other than a big thank you to our local board doctor, Shaun Haddock. Stacked the nose of the board into the harbour wall, whilst (trying) to maintain the right of way at Soldiers, on a Monday. Got out saw the damage, called the doctor, dropped it in and was ready for collection Satur...

Re: Surf Mags
Actually, yes please.
I've been thinking about using surf mags to cover the ceiling of my shed where I store my boards. Saw the idea on 'shed of the year', with a spray lacquer on looks the bee's knees.
Let me know

Re: Soldiers Surf - SUP Trashed my board
The short board of choice at Saunton or here is my little Bear - Tight arsed wombat - god I love that board, fast, agile, forgiving - BB you make a valid point, about the unwary or inexperienced - we all have to pay our dues, get wiped out, drown duck diving, drown getting barrelled - etc etc. I rem...

Re: Casual surfer new to Brighton
Afternoon... I would STRONGLY recommend that before you surf at the Marina you get used to surfing in Brighton/Shoreham. Meet a few locals and improve a wee bit... as for locations here are a few suggestions: Hotpipes - Mid to low tide, offshore on a NW - NE, works with windswell and moderate onshor...

Re: Shoreham Spots
Here you go: Shoreham Beach, by Beach Green, fun at mid tide on a groundswell or cleaned up windswell. Shore dump is a great laugh at high tide on an old board. Offshore NW-NE Shoreham Harbour - Hollows, on the West side, inside the main harbour wall, by the old fort - low tide on a 6.0+ tide, in a ...

HD Camera on Brighton i360
Just a thought what do people recon to seeking the placement of an HD moving camera onto the Brighton i360. If it moved (like the Witss cam) then we would be able to scan from Pier to pier and potentially up to the pipes. If there is support for the idea then i'd find out the details of who we could...
