pocket rocket

Postby Tomdiddlybomb » Thu Oct 24, 2013 4:31 pm

I've been surfing for a few years fairly infrequently but I've been doing a lot more recently and I was looking at this funny little board: http://www.boardshop.co.uk/softech-surf ... 6-52-sblu/
basically I'm 5'7 and under 70kg and I want something tiny I don't have to worry about snapping in heavy shorebreak around shoreham and that general area. I was wondering if anyone had tried it or something similar and could let me know if it's worth chucking a hundred quid out for.
Also whenever I look on this forum people always refer to the spots around the harbour as 'carats'/'carrots' 'hollows' and 'soldiers' could someone enlighten me as to which break is which? Is soldiers the boat launch ramp in the harbour or along the harbour wall by the harbour master's hut?
cheers ;)
