I'm going for half term with my daughter and, having seen the forecast, will be taking a longboard and foamie. Anyone surfed to the east of the port (sound familiar?) or at Pourville? Any tips on state of the tide, rips etc? Cheers.

Hiya, we parked up at Pourville on the way back from the SW this year. It's the mirror image of the coast between Brighton and Newhaven really. Reefy bits, beachy bits, flint pebbles, same tea coloured water. All your favourite things. It was pretty much flat when we were there but you could see where it would work OK. Nice place for a walk and a bike as well. Posh oyster restaurant on the beach. Nothing special but worth taking a board.
Cheers
