I returned there this summer for a family holiday and lucked out renting a flat with a view of one of the area's top spots. The owner is a friendly US surfer (Justin) who's married to a Spanish woman. There are loads of surf spots to choose from including reef, river mouth and beach breaks. There's SUPing and kite surfing on the river in front of the little town the apartment is in. For flat days there's shedfuls of cycling, mountains and caves to explore. Amazing seafood.
