Re: The Surfers Path relaunched - is it a scam?
To answer my own question, no it's not a scam. The magazine is edited by surf photographer Tim Nunn and is good. A bit like Surfers Journal.

Surfers wanted for local photocall 10am on 10 June
The main reasons we have any sewage treatment is because of EU laws and the pressure of groups like SAS. So far, this has not featured in the EU Refereundum debate. The Green Party has a photocall on Brighton beach to draw atten tion to this and urge people who care to vote to remian in the EU. It w...

Re: Soldiers Surf - SUP Trashed my board
The short board of choice at Saunton or here is my little Bear - Tight arsed wombat - god I love that board, fast, agile, forgiving. That's 4 of us with wombats around here. It's as near to a one board quiver I've ever had. And durable - none of my many dings have been incurred by running anyone el...

Re: Soldiers Surf - SUP Trashed my board
Thats why I have surfed a spot where I'm usually the only one out for years now. Its no secret either! I have this morning in fact. I know where you mean. It was my local spot for years. Must give it another go. Bluebeard makes some valid points. I've seen some tempers getting flared the last week ...

Re: Pollution November 7th
My G.P recommended a Hep A jab ( don't just wait for that Indo trip )if I was surfing this far up the channel on a regular basis and that was over 20 years ago. Like to think the water quality is slightly better now, after all the channel is basically one large gutter. Good advice. Also SAS are sti...

Southern Water aren't signed up to the SAS Safer Seas Service http://www.sas.org.uk/safer-seas-service/ . See this thread: http://sharkbait.co.uk/sharkboard/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=501 I'm pretty sure that after all that rain the outfalls would have been working and also there would have been run-of...

Re: Soldiers Surf - SUP Trashed my board
My mate got his board run over by a SUP today between the Arms. He'd come over from Soldiers - could be the same bloke. I think some of them need to realise how dangerous they can be and maybe find somewhere else to sweep until they can learn to share waves properly, like some of the more experience...

Dieppe/Pourville
I'm going for half term with my daughter and, having seen the forecast, will be taking a longboard and foamie. Anyone surfed to the east of the port (sound familiar?) or at Pourville? Any tips on state of the tide, rips etc? Cheers.

Re: windfarms
Have a look at this thread about the Rampion windfarm: http://sharkbait.co.uk/sharkboard/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=574&p=1010&hilit=Rampion#p1010 Basically, we called SAS in and they negotiated (helped by people on this board) with the windfarm promoters and the reduction on swell height was m...
