Download the latest surfing app and help raise funds to send the GB team to the Junior World Championships in Panama
With less than a month till they are due to land in Panama, the Great British Junior surf team are appealing for financial help to give the team the best possible chance of success in the upcoming world championships.
To help raise funds all proceeds from the sale of the latest surfing app "Surf Reporter" sold over the next 2 weeks will be donated to the team.
The app was developed by the guys from Sharkbait.co.uk and is available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch for only £1.49. Buy it between the 20th March to the 2nd April and you'll not only get the latest surf app but will also be supporting our team in Panama from the 7th of April.
James from Sharkbait says: “I have seen first hand the amount of talent there is in our junior team. The event in Panama is the biggest junior comp on the calendar. When I heard they were trying to fund their trip I thought this would be a great way to support them”
“The idea behind the Surf Reporter app is to allow a community of surfers to share surf reports. It saves phoning your friends all day and driving from beach to beach checking the conditions. You can add photos and comments and see where everyone is surfing on the map. And, as only your friends see your reports you can keep secret ‘going off’ messages just between your mates!”
The Junior World Championships is the largest junior surf competition in the world and features nearly 300 of the world’s best juniors from 35 countries. The team aim to record the highest ever UK placing, and who knows maybe even get a medal.
